Eligibility & Requirements
Who can join Mentel as a provider?
Board Certified PMHNPs, psychiatrists, psychologists, LCSWs, LMHCs, and LMFTs are welcome to apply.
Mentel offers remote flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere, as long as you hold an active license in the state where you serve patients.
All you need is a private workspace, reliable internet, and a secure computer. We provide the rest.
Is malpractice insurance required?
Yes—active malpractice coverage is required. Providers must maintain a minimum of $1,000,000 per incident and $3,000,000 aggregate coverage. We can also suggest telehealth-friendly malpractice insurance options if needed.
Practice Model & Clinical Scope
Who do providers serve and in what locations?
Providers primarily support adult men ages 18–80 seeking care for anxiety, depression, trauma, performance and confidence issues, relationship challenges, sexual health concerns, sleep problems, and work-related stress. While our model is built around men’s mental health, many women also benefit from the structured, tools-based approach. We’re currently active in New York, with more states in progress. Multi-state licensure is a plus.
What makes Mentel different from other telehealth platforms?
Mentel is built for how men show up in therapy: structured, goal-oriented, and evidence-based. Behind the scenes, providers get high-level operational support, growth systems, and a clinical culture focused on excellence—not just volume.
The Mentel Provider Experience
What should I expect when getting started?
Onboarding and credentialing typically take 4–6 weeks, depending on your license state and payer mix. Most providers begin with a smaller caseload and expand over time. We ask for a minimum availability of 10 hours per week to support continuity of care and consistent scheduling for patients.
How does Mentel support providers?
Mentel offers providers strong clinical and operational support. You’ll have access to mentorship, case consultation, and a growing library of tools designed for working with male patients.
Many clinicians keep part-time roles elsewhere while they build their Mentel caseload, as long as standard compliance rules are followed.
We offer competitive session rates with consistent bi-weekly payouts, and our marketing, referrals, and operations team help you build and maintain a full panel.
