Welcome to Mentel! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website (“Site”) and the services offered through our network (“Services”). By using Mentel, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or Services.

 

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Mentel, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. If you are using Mentel on behalf of another person, you confirm that you have the legal authority to do so.

2. Nature of Services

Mentel is not a healthcare provider. Mentel helps connect users with independent, licensed mental health professionals who deliver care through their own practices.

Services coordinated through Mentel may include:

  • Telepsychiatry and therapy sessions.
  • Mental health assessments and treatment planning.
  • Educational resources related to mental well-being.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account.

  •  You are responsible for keeping your account information and password secure.
  •  You agree to provide accurate and updated information.
  • You accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
  •  Mentel reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for fraud, policy
    violations, or unauthorized use.

4. Medical Disclaimer

Mentel does not itself provide medical or mental health care. The licensed professionals you connect with through Mentel are solely responsible for any diagnosis, treatment, therapy, or medication management they provide.

Some conditions may require in-person care or additional evaluations. The providers you work with determine your care plan based on their independent judgment.

Mentel’s role is limited to facilitating connections, support tools, and administrative functions — not direct clinical treatment.

5. Fees and Payment

Many providers in the Mentel network accept insurance. You are responsible for verifying your coverage and any out-of-pocket costs before booking.

  •  If your insurance does not cover care, you agree to pay any uncovered costs.

  • Payments are due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed.

  •  Mentel may change pricing for administrative services with reasonable notice.

  •  Failure to pay may result in suspension of your ability to use Services coordinated through Mentel.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

  •  Appointments must generally be canceled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid fees.

  • No refunds are provided for missed or late-canceled sessions.

  •  If a session is canceled by the provider due to unavailability or technical issues, you may reschedule or request a refund.

  •  Repeated no-shows may result in suspension of your account.

7. Privacy and Confidentiality

Mentel complies with all applicable HIPAA requirements. Your data is protected as
described in our Privacy Policy.

  • Your information is shared with providers and business associates as needed to coordinate care.

  • Your health information will not be sold or shared for unrelated marketing.

  •  Absolute security cannot be guaranteed for any online platform — use secure channels for sensitive information.

8. User Responsibilities and Conduct

By using Mentel, you agree not to:

  • Misuse or disrupt the Site or Services.

  • Provide false information.

  •  Violate any applicable laws.

  • Harass, abuse, or harm any provider or other user.

  • Share confidential session details with unauthorized parties.

Mentel may terminate or restrict your use of the Site or Services if you violate these rules.

9.Telehealth Consent

By using Services arranged through Mentel, you agree to:


• Receive care from licensed providers via secure electronic communication.• Understand the risks of telehealth, including technical failures or unauthorized
access.
• Withdraw consent at any time, understanding this may affect your access to
Services.


Minors: Parental or guardian consent is required for minors. State laws may grant minors
certain privacy rights, which providers will honor.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on Mentel, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by Mentel or licensed for its use.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use Mentel’s content without written permission.

Unauthorized use may result in legal action.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Mentel does not guarantee the effectiveness or outcome of any care arranged through the platform. All Services are provided “as is” without any express or implied warranties.

12. Limitation of Liability

Mentel is not responsible for indirect or consequential damages from your use of the Site or Services.


Mentel’s total liability is limited to the amount paid for administrative or coordination services in the last 12 months.


Mentel is not responsible for third-party issues, such as internet service failures or
insurance denials.

13. Indemnification

You agree to hold Mentel harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms.

  • Your misuse of the Site or Services.

  •  Third-party claims related to your actions.

14. Changes to Terms

16. Dispute Resolution
